Past Meeting – November 2025

Recap

Approximately 160 people, representing over 40 organizations, attended this year’s Thriving Weld Annual Summit hosted on November 5th at the University of Northern Colorado. The theme of this year’s Summit was Thriving Through Uncertainty, and Rosi Greenberg (Drawn to Lead) kicked off the Summit with a Keynote about how we can build resilience. Rosi discussed what she sees as the three main elements of resilience: social support, having the right mindset, and practices we can use to create space between a stimulus and response. The presentation closed with Rosi sharing how each of us has tremendous adaptive capacity, essentially, we can learn to adapt to new situations and experiences which can increase our personal resilience.

Following the keynote presentation, a panel shared their perspectives and ideas for how leaders and organizations can lead with calm. The panelists included Kim Collins, CEO of North Range Behavioral Health; Juriana Sperandio, Global Chief Human Resources Officer at JBS; Jamie Ulrich, Director of Weld County Department of Human Services; Danie Willis, Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness at Colorado Health Network; and was moderated by Dannon Cox, Assistant Professor at the Colorado School of Public Health at UNC. Just some of what the panel highlighted included effective ways to work collaboratively with your team and staff, the tie between workplace happiness and setting expectations, and the notion of “low and slow” as being a model for how we interact with our staff when unexpected events happen.

The Summit concluded with a networking opportunity that encouraged the sharing of ideas and strategies for supporting our workplace environment. For more specifics on what was discussed at the Summit contact Cody Speece at cspeece@weld.gov.
